Born and raised in Waco, Boyd Kent is a third-generation insurance professional who grew up watching his grandfather and then his mother build successful careers in the industry.
While Boyd was familiar with the ins and outs of the insurance world from an early age, what most influenced his decision to follow in his family’s footsteps was being able to make a difference in other peoples lives.
Over the years, he has devoted his time, energy and expertise to a number of organizations and causes close to his heart. He served on the China Spring school board for a decade and currently volunteers at the United Methodist Church as Administrative Council Chair. For more than two
decades, he has also coached local youth, providing private softball lessons for emerging talent on the field.
